was back at the petshop for weekend work. It felt nice and familiar, probably because of my really nice colleague and also because there is one new staff who know less than i do. haha. I mushc prefer the clementi branch -- there are many many dogs there to play with :) really cute and big ones. I prefer larger dogs because they are so huggable!
these young healthy dogs reminds me of my zoey when she was well and happy -sigh- i really do not know whether she is happy and contented the way she is. Now blind and quite paralysed, she has to be hand-fed and also drinks water through a syringe. Purely painful to see her in this state. But we simply cannot bear to put her down. She's been with me since i was 8! Can you imagine? My faithful companion who grew up with me and knows all the little secrets i whispered in her white furry ears. I can still remember my dad waiting for me after my dance class with this pretty white dog. He kept his promise to get me a pet dog if i did well in the exams. And it all seemed like yesterday when she got us to play with her favourite toy - a cloth. Making her way into the kitchen to drink water, smiling in front of her birthday cake, running down the corridor towards us...
this is the stage that all pet owners dread. Witnessing age and disease slowly taking away their beloved companions. Sometimes a part of me wished zoey had gone at an earlier age and i only have the happy memories with me. Rather selfish of me i guess :/ Though it is getting unbearable seeing her like this, my family will be taking care of her till she goes naturally.
