First- good news! the abandoned-at-carpark rabbit is already adopted! yay. By a really kind friend of a friend. Her new home is in my area, really near so i probably can hop by and say hi to the rabbit. Just happy that it has found a good home.
Met up with two of my closest friends for their belated 21st birthday gathering. Tried out a new tea-themed restaurant at Holland Village. Fantastic food and ambience - we lounged at the second level with cushions + low tables + having to take off shoes and being barefooted felt like we were just at home. But not really affordable. But considering we had a main course and 2 darn nice drinks (i am craving for my fave 'tempatation island', never knew green tea and vanilla ice-cream tasted so good together!), i guess the price should have been expected. Anyway, it was not a 'normal' gathering but a celebratory one! And we decided to pledge our support to the restaurant as they allowed us to do the usual birthday stuff inside and they were nice about it.
i always loved holland v. Partly because it's nearer to my place than town and i get to stay out longer. it has a much more laid-back and pub-by feel, and it's a more cosy place with small eateries. The little streets go up and down, intertwining just like those in a village - apt name! i don't know if i am feeling old beyond my age but Orchard seems adolescent. and i do not like to jostle with and be surrounded by people - crowds can make me highly antisocial and i just want to get out out out.
Went to watch the finals of a singing competition organised by geyao with my long-lost primary school friend whom i re-met through the cca. It was disappointing to see the poor attendance but the quality of the singing was very good. Only 3 geyao members (including my friend and i) went to support the event which was kinda sad. i think the president of the club was touched and gave us a 2 bucks discount off the usual ticket price. Ok i admit the place was rather off - Chinese High Drama Centre but still, members should support their cca right? i always thought it was a unstated responsibility of being part of a group - just be there. i really enjoyed the performances though.
Your company was much appreciated. Yes i probably owe you one - you went because i wanted to. I guess i am being a worrywart here but it's kinda bugging me to realize how much we can talk about - sorry i am a sucker for good verbal communication. it's the kind i could never get with the maybes, no matter how hard i try. A simple platonic feeling where i was just being myself, complete with silly jokes and all. without feeling conscious or awkward. I really hope we can just stay this way. nothing more, nothing less. I promise this to myself.
Will you?
